With a deep-rooted commitment to supporting others on their recovery journey, Tyler English brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal experience to his counseling role. His career in both coaching and the social services field is characterized by an unwavering dedication to a strength-based approach, grounded in both his formal training and lived experiences.

Tyler is a Registered Social Service Worker with The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). He holds an educational background in social service work from Niagara College, complemented by extensive training in trauma-informed care, non-violent crisis intervention, Indigenous cultural safety, Vicarious Trauma, Crucial Conversations, Mental Health First Aid, and ASIST Suicide Prevention.

Tyler has a history working with an interdisciplinary healthcare unit focused on assisting and advocating for individuals struggling with mental health issues, substance use disorder, and frequent emergency department visits. Tyler also worked as a lead trauma counselor in Kuujjuaq, Quebec, where he played an essential role in supporting individuals dealing with trauma in an Inuit community, further broadening his expertise in trauma-informed care.

What sets Tyler apart is his personal journey. His compassion is fueled by his own experiences with early childhood trauma, addiction, and navigating grief and loss. These lived experiences equip him with a unique perspective that enhances his ability to offer empathetic, genuine support to others. Tyler is not just a dedicated professional, but also a devoted family man, married with two stepchildren and two biological children, embodying the strength and stability he aims to foster in those he serves.
